St. Ives: Naturally Clear Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub

"St. Ives Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub gently cleans pores and helps stop breakouts before they occur."

I'm sure it's well know that St. Ives scrubs are a favourite for those who love rough and almost, some would say, harsh scrub products. This definitely fits that bill. I do like rough scrubs for my body and often for my face but I felt this didn't leave my face feeling smooth after using it, maybe even a little tight, but my body felt much smoother. I would use this more as a body scrub as it's a wee bit rough for my face considering my spots and bumps. Overall, it is a good effective product, not suitable for me but I can see how it is a favourite.

The sweet and sour...

  • Rough, typical St. Ives apricot scrub, although I feel this formula is a little more gentle.
  • 2% Salicylic acid. Good for acne prone skin. Although not suitable for mine.
  • Scent is fine. Not memorable.
  • Didn't overly love this but will be using it up as a body scrub or occasional face scrub.

180ml , NZ $16.95

Let me know your thoughts! Are you a fan of St. Ives?

  1. I think this product is so irritating to skin, the pieces quite literally tear at the protective layers of your skin. I'd only use it on my feet, or legs if I was exfoliating before a fake tan or something. I don't get why it's so popular when there are so many better products out there.

  2. It definitely is super rough. I can see that it might be effective for once a week use but I agree, not for my face.
